Max upload speed with GoDaddy shared hosting

I've done some testing, and I figure the community may appreciate my results.  All of this testing was done in a controlled environment, with machines that could handle the load.

Step 1: Make sure my download connection won't bottleneck the download from GoDaddy.

First, I used a bandwidth test site (http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/) to examine my bandwidth, a couple times, from different locations.  My Comcast connection tested at 6 Mbit down, and .33 Mbit up.

Step 2: Profile the download speed from GoDaddy Server by downloading a large file.

I then downloaded a 1.6 Mebibyte file from my shared hosting account with GoDaddy.

Step 3: Draw conclusions

On my 100 Megabit local connection, the download from GoDaddy Shared Hosting maxed out at about (~) 2.08 % of my connection: that's  ~ 2.08 Megabits. I tested this multiple (4) times.

Thus, my maximum shared hosting upload speed is:  ~ 254 Kibibytes / s   or  ~ ( 2.08 Megabits / s )

Terms: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binary_prefix

1 Megabit = (10^3) ^ 2 bits (1000000)
1 Kilobit = 10^3 bits (1000)

1 Mebibyte = ( 2^10 ) ^ 2 bytes (1024 * 1024)
1 Kibibyte = 2^10 bytes  (1024)
1 byte = 8 bits

I'd love to hear some other stats from people on other shared hosting accounts.  ( e.g. 1&1 )
