Thoughts on Joost (Formally The Venice Project)

I've been on the beta-testing team for Joost for a while now, and now that they changed their name, Google News Sci/Tech finally aggregated the story. I love to see the success of any type of P2P technology, so it's fun to see Joost on Google news.

The thing I think is especially exciting is that any .NET developer with some time on his/her hands can do this stuff. http://btsharp.com

P2PTV with BTSharp?  Not yet. The "streaming" extensions to BitTorrent will come to BTSharp in time, but the applications you can develop without having to worry about the cost of bandwidth are really quite amazing already.

BTSharp 2.0 supports reliable file transfers, and I've got a keen ear for suggestions on how to improve the library for the next versions.  Smile
